A Winerondack chair is made by CCRJ Studios in Palisade, Colorado from the staves of retired wine barrels. It’s designed for relaxation, like an Adirondack chair, just aged like a fine wine, built to last, and easier to get out of.
CCRJ Studios is a family owned furniture design and art shop in Palisade, Colorado.
Craig & Randi Baumgardner and Chris & Julie Adriansen drew inspiration for their flagship design while sitting in Adirondack chairs sipping wine. “What if we deisgned these to be more comfortable, easier to get out of, and built them from retired wine barrels?!” The Winderondack chair was born.

A whole catalog of original furniture, home decor, and wine storage designs made from the staves, hoops, hardware, and ends of retired wine barrels quickly followed.
The CCRJ team loves art and nostalgia. They restore unique antique furniture. Julie is an accomplished acrylic and watercolor painter, often choosing barrel heads and furniture pieces over canvas and paper for her masterpieces.

Outdoor items require more frequent care due to exposure to the elements. We recommend using weather covers for outdoor pieces to provide additional protection. Our products are finished with multiple coats of 100% Tung Oil to seal the wood fibers, followed by a coating of Teak Oil for UV protection. Over time, depending on exposure to sunlight and moisture, reapplication of Teak Oil may be necessary. To refresh your piece:
1. Clean the surfaces to remove dirt and dust.
2. Gently buff the surface with 0000 steel wool.
3. Use a tack cloth to eliminate steel wool residue.
4. Apply at least one coat of Teak Oil, buffing with steel wool between coats as needed.
Follow the instructions on the Teak Oil container, and wipe off excess oil after 10 minutes of application. For significantly weathered items, light sanding followed by resealing with 100% Tung Oil and a subsequent Teak Oil application may be required.
All CCRJ furniture is carefully crafted from the staves, rings, and barrel heads of retired Western Colorado wine barrels.
